The AP1509 series are monolithic IC designed for a tep-down DC/DC converter, and own the ability of riving a 2A load without additional transistor omponent. Due to reducing the number of external omponent, the board space can be saved easily.The external shutdown function can be controlled y logic level and then come into standby mode.The internal compensation makes feedback control ave good line and load regulation without external esign. Regarding protected function, thermal hutdown is to prevent over temperature operating rom damage, and current limit is against over urrent operating of the output switch. If current imit function occurred and VFB is down to 0.5V elow, the switching frequency will be reduced.The AP1509 series operates at a switching requency of 150KHz thus allowing smaller sized  ilter components than what would be needed with ower frequency switching regulators. Other eatures include a guaranteed +4% tolerance on utput voltage under specified input voltage and utput load conditions, and +15% on the oscillator requency. The output version included fixed 3.3V,5V, 12V, and an adjustable type. The packages are vailable in a standard 8-lead SOP-8 package.
